This collection documents the family of James McGill Buchanan (1919- ), MTSU alumnus and 1986 winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics. His grandfather was John Price Buchanan, Governor of Tennessee from 1891 through 1893. This collection honors an outstanding Tennessean, his academic career, and his family.
