Basic Search Tips

• Records in result sets will include all of the search terms entered.
• Use quotes to search for phrases: "health education"
• Use an asterisk (*) to give a search term any ending: immigr*will retrieve records that include "immigrant," "immigrants," and "immigration."

Users can search the database by keyword. Records in result sets will include all of the search terms entered. A few examples of possible topics:

Search for oral history collections that include interviews with nurses. (Results from this search)

Advanced Search

Select "Advanced Search" additional options for searching across fields, searching within specific fields, and proximity searching. The screenshot below illustrates a search for collections about women college students in the 1920s.
