Using the Library

Library collections and services are developed for the benefit of MTSU students, faculty, and researchers. The Library is important to academic success and intellectual development. In order to fully benefit from the facilities and services the Library offers, please keep in mind these general policies:

• Your ID card is important. Keep it with you. It is your key to library service.
• Students can check out books for four weeks and can renew them once if no-one else has requested them.
• Be sensitive. If you want to talk in groups, grab a group study so you don't bother others who like it quiet.
• Cell phones. Yes they are necessary part of life. No, not everyone wants to hear your conversation.
  Take your phone to the atrium, the cafe, or outside if you want to use it.
• Food & drink. You can purchase them in the cafe but only bottled water is allowed inside the library.
• Ask us questions. We're here to help.
• Make a suggestion. We like to hear from you. Let us know how we can help by using our suggestion box.
