Why use books? The Internet has everything ... right?
While it's true that there is a lot of great information online, books are by no means obsolete. Sometimes your instructor will specifically ask you to use books for a paper. When is a book useful for research?

for a lot of information on a topic
- to put your
topic in context with other important issues
- to find historical information
- to find summaries
of research to support an argument
- to find references to relevant journal articles at the ends of chapters
