Upcoming Workshop Schedule

  • March 21, "Road to New Orleans: Teaching the War of 1812" Workshop with the Tennessee State Library and Archives. This workshop is being held in conjunction with War of 1812 Bicentennial Symposium in Fayetteville from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To register, email Stacey Graham.
  • April 2, "Primary Sources and the Common Core" Workshop with Museum at 5ive Points in Cleveland from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST. To register, email Joy Veenstra.
  • April 11, "Teaching World History Using the Library of Congress" Workshop in Memphis from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shelby County teachers can register through your district's professional development system. Others should email Kira Duke to register.
  • May 8, "The Long Struggle for Freedom: Exploring Emancipation and Civil Rights in the Classroom" Workshop at Clement Railroad Museum in Dickson in conjunction with the Promise Land Community Club from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To register, email Kira Duke.
  • June 9, "Using Primary Sources in the Elementary Social Studies Classroom" Workshop in Memphis from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shelby County teachers can register through your district's professional development system.
  • June 10, "Teaching 18th and 19th Century U.S. History" Workshop in Memphis from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shelby County teachers can register through your district's professional development system.
  • June 11, "Teaching U.S. History from Reconstruction to the Present" Workshop in Memphis from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shelby County teachers can register through your district's professional development system.
  • June 13, "Using Primary Sources to Address Common Core" Workshop for Cumberland County Schools. Morning session will be designed for grades K-6, and the afternoon will be for grades 7-12. You may register through your central office.
  • June 17-19, Civil War Summer Institute: "A Soldier's Life" Workshop at the Heritage Center in Murfreesboro from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. To register, email Kira Duke.
