Books about music are shelved in several different locations within Walker Library. Books with Library of Congress call numbers (beginning with ML and/or MT) are located on the 2nd Floor, to the left of the center aisle, toward the back of the building (Shelf Ranges 226-231). Music books with Dewey call numbers (beginning with 780 through 789) are shelved on the 4th Floor, to the right of the center aisle (Shelf Ranges 4xx-4xx). Music Reference Books are shelved on the 1st floor in the Reference Section, located past the Reference Desk and public computers. The Reference Collection is divided into two sections: one with Dewey call numbers and another with Library of Congress call numbers.
