  • May 9 (Knoxville) - "Tennesseans Who Shaped American Democracy" in partnership with the East Tennessee Historical Society from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET. In this session, we will explore the period prior to statehood and early statehood years to see how these early Tennesseans impacted the shaping of the Constitution. The workshop will feature guest speaker Dr. William Hardy and activities that will highlight the State of Franklin’s impact on the Constitution and the legacy of William Blount.   • June 5-6 (Nashville) - "Education for All" Summer workshop in partnership with Fisk University's Franklin Library from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. In this two-day workshop, we will explore the impact of African American education in the post-Reconstruction/Jim Crow periods and how it helped lay a foundation for the modern civil rights movement.
