Project: Stories Lives Tell: LEAPS and BOUnds (Learning Engaged Around primary Sources Builds Our Understanding)
The objective of this grant is to develop 4 booklets that use personal narratives, primary sources, Project Zero strategies, and Library of Congress strategies and materials. The booklets are intended to teach social studies concepts through a language arts lens for elementary classrooms. Booklets and teacher guides will be available through WWW.Warner.edu/TPS.
The Teaching with Primary Sources program at the University of Central Florida delivers professional development opportunities, free of charge, to help K-12 educators across the state provide high-quality classroom instruction using the millions of digitized primary sources available from loc.gov.
