You may not be taking classes, but you still have information needs. Whether you seek to further your career, learn more about a hobby, or help your child with homework, the James E. Walker Library at MTSU has the resources to help.
MTSU Alumni and community borrowers are eligible to borrow Walker Library materials by presenting an MTSU ID, a valid Tennessee Driver's License, or a valid Photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Public Safety. Community borrowers will be issued a Community Borrower's card and may borrow up to 2 items at a time. MTSU Alumni may borrow up to 10 items at a time. See Borrowing Policies regarding alumni or community borrowers for more information on obtaining a borrower's card.
Guests, including Alumni, may obtain a guest login for computer use at the Service Desk on the 1st floor of the library. A printer/copier kiosk is located near Technology Services on the 1st floor. Black and white copies/prints are $.10 each, and color is $.40. Get help at the Technology Services desk after obtaining your login at the Service Desk.
Unrestricted in-house use of all library databases. Free off-campus access to the Tennessee Electronic Library for residents of Tennessee.
Receive academic and personal research assistance from librarians. Call or visit the reference desk, chat with or email a librarian by using the E-mail a Librarian form.
Free parking and shuttle service is available to visitors in the Rutherford Lot off Rutherford Blvd and requires no permit. The Raider Xpress shuttle serves the MTSU campus and comes to the Rutherford Lot at regular intervals. Parking in other lots requires a paid permit. More information can be found at Parking Permits.
