How to Borrow Media

Streaming media from library databases can be accessed online with your MTSU username and password. Physical media (DVDs, CDs) may be checked out to users presenting a valid MTSU ID card at the Circulation desk on the first floor of the library. See Borrowing Policies for physical media.

Group Viewing

Need a space in the library to watch a film? The following spaces and equipment are available.

Room 114D: Two to three students can watch a VHS tape, DVD or Blu-Ray disc. No reservation necessary. Room does not require headphones and doesn't have a computer. Viewings should be academically-related and must not exceed reasonable noise levels. Ask for equipment remote at the first floor Reference Desk (or Circulation Desk if the reference desk staff is away).

Any Group Study Room: Individual students with headphones can reserve a group study room to watch streaming media. Borrow an external optical drive to watch a film on disc.

Study Room 477E: Individual students with headphones and a laptop can view streaming media or a film on disc on the room's large wireless display. This room doesn't have a computer and requires a reservation.

Laptops, external optical drives and headphones are available for student borrowing at the first floor Technology Services Desk.
