Purpose and Scope: This policy identifies persons eligible to borrow Walker Library reserve materials, the length of time the reserve materials may be borrowed, and assessment of applicable Library charges.
Policy Statement: The Library circulates course reserve materials to MTSU students, staff, and faculty, and retirees with a valid MTSU ID.
Conditions and Procedures: The Library prioritizes access to circulating course reserve materials for the benefit of all MTSU students, staff, and faculty. Loan periods for course reserve materials are determined by the requesting faculty member. A valid ID must be presented each time materials are checked out.

Location: Technology Services Desk, 1st floor
Loan Period: Four hours to MTSU students only. Items may be taken out of the library but must be returned to the Technology Services desk 30 minutes before the Library closes.
Renewals: Renewal may be available if there is not a waiting list for items. Items must be renewed in person.
Overdue Fines: Overdue fines are $1.00/hour. The maximum overdue charge is $27.00 for all items except laptops. Laptop fines will continue to accrue until it is returned. A $20.00 processing fee will be charged for laptops kept overnight. A $5.00 processing fee will be added to other equipment kept overnight. All equipment must be returned 30 minutes before the library closes. A $5.00 fee will be charged for laptops and adapters and $2.50 fee will be charged for other items not returned 30 minutes before the library closes. Borrowers are responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged equipment.
