Strategies for Locating Evidence Based Practices

Here are three strategies for locating evidence based practices.

  1. Search for EBP's in scholarly journal articles. JEWL Search and MEDLINE are two places to do this. Add terms such as health education or intervention to help narrow the search.
  2. Search the internet. I suggest limiting your search to a .org or .gov domain. An example search: diabetes prevention program site:.org
  3. Search the websites listed in the boxes below. In many cases, you'll need to follow several links to get to descriptions of actual practices or programs. RTIPs is a great place to start.
