Using MTSU library

Welcome to the Walker Library

  • You can search for books on the website from home but must be in the library building to view articles or ebooks.
  • Bring school picture ID or driver's license and MTSU library borrower's card (if you have one).
  • Check the hours on the library web site to see if we’re open before you visit.
  • Parking without a visitor's pass before 6:30 pm Mon-Fri will incur a parking ticket. Print a parking pass at home before you arrive, or visit MTSU Parking Services at 205 City View Drive when you arrive to obtain a pass. A visitor's parking pass costs $2 per day. Or, visitors may park for free in a remote lot (Rutherford Blvd.) and ride the campus shuttle to the library.
  • Stop at Library Service Desk inside the entrance to ask for computer guest username and password (will need a picture ID).
  • Printing and photocopying is available for a fee. Please bring dollar bills for the guest print kiosk, and stop at the first floor Technology Services Desk to ask how you can print as a library guest.
  • Guest wi-fi access is available, but access to library resources may be limited through guest wi-fi.
  • Dual enrolled students will receive an MTSU student ID and have off-campus access to online library resources while classes are in session. Dual enrolled students also have a limited printing allowance for each semester.
  • Your high school may have made arrangements with MTSU for you to borrow books from our library. Please check with your high school librarian if you have questions about this.

Remember that the library is open to the public, so take care of your belongings. Don't leave laptops or other valuables unattended.
