Welcome! We are so excited that you have joined us! The Library Administrative Office has created this online resource to introduce you to resources for personnel and to help you get started in your new role.
This online resource provides relevant links, documentation, and information to assist you in learning more about MTSU and Walker Library. This resource is designed to serve as a supplement to orientation and training information provided to you by your supervisor.
Please refer back to this guide whenever needed.
One of your first challenges on campus is finding your way around. Campus consists of over 500 acres and more than 100 buildings. You probably got (or will get) a printed map with your parking permit or may want to use the web-based interactive one to guide your exploring.

|Your Pipeline credentials will give you access to many things at MTSU, including your office computer, email, and the PipelineMT campus portal. You must protect those credentials, use secure passwords, and change those passwords routinely. ITD uses multi-factor authentication (using a secondary text or voice message to verify your identity) for accessing MTSU systems when you are off-campus. All MTSU personnel are required to do annual security training to ensure that they're keeping data protected.
ITD Help Desk
All MTSU personnel have an MTSU email account (we use a Microsoft Exchange email server), which you can access through Microsoft Outlook on your desk top or mobile devices and on the web through Outlook Web Access (OWA).

The Walker Library Intranet was created so departments, committees, and all other working groups could more effectively communicate, collaborate, and share the most current versions of forms, policies, and other documents.
Walker Library Departments can use the Intranet to facilitate intradepartmental and intralibrary communication, collaborative working and idea sharing, and as the home for all current forms, policies, procedures, and documents.
