ENGL 3860: Film Genre: Getting Started

Welcome!

Welcome to the Film Genre research guide. Here you'll find information about how to research materials like articles, reference sources, books, how to locate films and videos as well as helpful websites .

Films and videos are available in the Walker Library in the form of vhs, DVDs, and streaming media. While the collections at Walker only circulate to instructors, anyone is welcome to view films in one of our Group Study rooms, all equipped with computers.

VHS tapes may be viewed in Room 114D.  Individuals may check out a pair of headphones from the Technology Service Desk and grab any available computer to watch a DVD or streaming video.  More information can be found at Finding Media at Walker Library.

Check out our Ask Us FAQs on Media/DVDs/Videos for more information.

This guide to genre resources is selective and includes examples of titles held in the reference collection, stacks as well as materials held online.
