Streaming video platforms at MTSU

Walker Library provides licensed access to select streaming videos from a number of vendors. Each platform can be browsed or searched for available titles.

  • Kanopy
    An on-demand streaming video service for educational institutions providing students, faculty and staff, with access to more than 26,000 films each year. Kanopy works directly with filmakers and film distribution companies to offer collections including titles from PBS, BBC, Criterion Collection, and more.
  • Swank Digital Campus
    Streaming collection of films and documentaries both classic and contemporary.
  • Alexander Street Academic Video Online (AVON)
    On-demand access to over 60,000 streaming videos. Content providers include PBS, BBC, Sony Picture Classics, CNN, BBC, and more.
  • Docuseek2
    Streaming documentary films from a number of sources, including Bullfrog Films, Icarus Films, and the National Film Board of Canada. Many films in this collection focus on social and environmental issues.
  • Drama Online Library
    Video content includes titles from BBC Drama, Shakespeare's Globe on Screen, and more.

Search by title for streaming and DVD films

All types of audiovisual materials can be found in the Library Catalog.  

  • Choose Advanced Search from the Library Catalog tab on the Library home page
  • Type feature films in the Search Box; pull down Subject for the field to search.
  • Choose the Format type  i.e. VHS, VIDEO, and DVD (not shown in pic) 
    • ​This will bring up DVDS, VHS tapes and online videos
      • Use the CTRL key (PC) and Command key (Mac) to select multiple formats. 
  • Choose Find to search your topic.
