Look for an option to limit your search results to REVIEWS.
Current and historical mass-market newspapers are important tools that film studies researchers use to trace the contemporary critical reception of a given film.
Walker Library provides access to subscription newspapers in three ways: (1) via aggregated searchable databases containing the text of multiple newspaper titles (e.g., Global Newsstream Collection), (2) in stand-alone databases containing digital images of one unique title (e.g., Historical Atlanta Constitution), and (3) on rolls of archival microfilm (e.g., The Louisville Defender).
The newspaper databases below are good starting points to find film reviews. Additional newspaper databases are available on Walker Library's Newspaper guide.
