nkoda Trial Access: Home

nkoda Digital Sheet Music (Trial Access through March 18, 2024)

nkoda is a digital sheet music subscription that provides access to copyrighted content from Boosey & Hawkes, Breitkopf & Härtel, Bärenreiter, Durand, Faber, G Schirmer, Novello, Ricordi, Salabert, Simrock, and more. Users can also upload their own digital scores to nkoda, allowing them to store all their scores in the same app for easy access.

Follow the instructions below in order to create an nkoda account. Before using your account, please read the additional information on this page. If you have questions about this resource, please contact Grover Baker or Kristen West. Once you've used the resource, please help the library make a purchase decision by submitting a trial evaluation.

  1. Open the nkoda website with a web browser.
  2. Click "Get Started." DO NOT use "Sign up with an institution." MTSU's trial is not set up using this method.
  3. On the left side of the screen, enter your MTSU email address, create a password, and click "Sign Up."
  4. The page should resolve to the nkoda landing page, with your name at the upper right and a black pop-up box that says, "Institutional Access - Continue as a member of Middle Tennessee State University." Click the "Yes" button in that box to continue.
  5. A banner at the top of the screen will indicate you are signed in as a member of Middle Tennessee State University. This confirms you have successfully completed the registration process.
  6.  With your registration complete, you can now log in and access the app (see below) from any device, platform, or location, authenticated as a member of MTSU.
