Mission

The JEWL Seed Library seeks to provide the MTSU community with free vegetable, flower, and herb seeds to promote sustainability and healthy eating. The seed library serves as a unique educational resource that benefits both the campus and the wider community.

This project was initially funded by a grant from the MTSU Sustainable Campus Fee Program in 2025.

Location and Hours

The seed library is located on the 1st floor of the library near the Reference Desk and is open all the hours the library is open. It will be closed for the season from November through January.

How It Works

  1. Browse through the seed library and select up to 5 packets per week.
  2. Fill out the Check-Out Log with the seeds you're taking.
  3. Plant your seeds and enjoy watching them grow!
