MTSU Student Agribusiness & Agriscience Organizations
Agriculture Student Council
Membership consists of two elected class representatives and the President and a representative from each of the student organizations. Serves as a liaison between students and faculty. Plans and conducts annual Agricultural Awards Banquet.
Block & Bridle Club
Open to any college student with an interest in agricultural animals. Involved in several activities in the Tennessee Livestock Center. Support travel and activities of the Livestock Judging Team. Conduct Prospect Steer Show. Active at the National Level.
Assist in conducting clinics and workshops for Agricultural Education teachers. Work closely with local high school Agricultural Education programs. Assist in many high school FFA leadership and skill activities.
Dairy Science Club
Activities are designed to help students become involved in the Dairy Industry. Club members are also involved in the State Dairy Expo held at the Tennessee Livestock Center. Support travel and activities of the MTSU Dairy Judging Team.
Delta Tau Alpha
An honorary student organization. Conduct student recruitment programs in high schools. Honors outstanding freshmen. Promote the School of Agribusiness and Agriscience. Sponsors a needy child/children at Christmas. Active at the National level.
Conduct programs for students interested in horse science. Support MTSU Equestrian Team and Horse Judging Team. Conduct horse science clinics and seminars for riders.

Schedule speakers who relate to career areas in Plant and Soil Science. Promote Plant and Soil Science activities.
Pre-Veterinary Medical Society
A professional organization for students interested in veterinary medicine and planning to pursue admissions to a college of veterinary medicine. Active in community outreach and service to the veterinary profession in middle Tennessee.
The departmental professional sorority for students majoring in Agribusiness and Agriscience areas.
Federal, state, and international goverment departments & agencies provide online resources for agribusiness and agriscience.
U.S. Department of Agriculture
The USDA works on expanding markets for agricultural products and supporting international economic development, providing financing needed to help expand job opportunities and improve housing, utilities and infrastructure in rural America, enhancing food safety, improving nutrition and health , & managing and protecting America's public and private lands.
Tennessee Department of Agriculture
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture provides market and regulatory information on agriculture, livestock, forestry, and water resources related to the state of Tennessee.
Pick Tennessee Products
Pick Tennessee Products is promoted by the TN Department of Agriculture Market Development Division. It provides resources for buying and selling Tennessee agriculture and livestock products.

FAO's mandate is to raise levels of nutrition, improve agricultural productivity, better the lives of rural populations, contribute to the growth of the world economy, and ensure food security for all.

International Development Research Centre (IDRC)
